Each hole, one player is designated the Lone Ranger and their score must count for the team. The Lone Ranger rotates, so everyone takes a turn under the spotlight. A second team score is added from the best remaining player.

Lone Ranger's score + best other team score = team total. Role rotates. Lowest 18-hole total wins.
